"...Scenic design and technical direction by Josh Sticklin is phenomenal as the audience is treated to an old family manor replete with a revolving bookcase, a grandfather clock , an upper office area, a family crest, and an upper desk/office area."

"...Dupont Circle’s Keegan Theatre once again gives us comedic escapism this summer with its staging of “The Play That Goes Wrong”. Similar in slapstick style to Michael Frayn’s classic 1982 British farce “Noises Off” (which Keegan Theatre produced back in July 2024), “The Play That Goes Wrong” features a dilettante theatrical company attempting to stage an Agatha Christie-inspired murder mystery play while contending with collapsing sets, errant props, feuding actors, missed cues and a multitude of other hilariously funny mishaps."

"...Just as Washington, DC, bids farewell to the Kennedy Center’s decades-old slapstick comedy Shear Madness, The Keegan Theatre has stepped up to fill the farcical void — at least for the next few weeks. Its splendid production of the zany British romp The Play That Goes Wrong fizzes with idiotic aristocrats, ornery scenery, and breathtaking pratfalls. Shakespeare, it is not, nor does it rival Monty Python’s sharp wit and topicality. But if you’re looking for a different kind of cage fight this summer season, have a seat and laugh your head off at this knockabout play-within-a-play. You can even bring the kids."
