The Washington Ballet returns to the Kennedy Center Opera House to celebrate love and fate in an evening of unbridled passion set to Sergei Prokofiev's dynamic score in John Cranko's Romeo and Juliet. The Joffrey Ballet presented the first American production of Cranko's choreography in their 1984-85 season, including performances in New York City and in Washington, D.C. It's an intricate, tragic and timeless tale of two star-crossed lovers. Will love conquer all, or will these two young lovers get caught in the crossfire of their family's bloody feud? Get swept up in the breathless story as it plays out in a gorgeous dance performance just in time for Valentine's Day.
