Macbeth
645 New York Ave, NW Washington
Set in the 1050s when the historical King Duncan reigned over the Kingdom of Alba, this inaugural production of the Impossible Theater Company (ITC) examines the tension between the ancient Pictish people of Scotland and the invading Gaelic tribes from the southwest. Shame without blame is the object of this production, and audiences should ask themselves whether or not it is right to celebrate a man’s death, even if he may have committed large-scale atrocities.
