Aesop's Fables Reviews
MD Theatre Guide- Highly Recommended
"...Director Ray Ficca moves them through their paces at an expert rate, shifting from famous fable to famous fable (“The Lion and the Mouse,” “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” and, of course, “The Tortoise and the Hare” among them) at just the right clip to hold attention. Even when telling the harsher of Aesop’s moralizing stories—one character points out that the tales all seem to have sad endings—the mood is kept light and upbeat."

"...Keegan Theatre’s Artistic Director Susan Marie Rhea’s performance as Wolfie and more makes you wonder why she isn’t working in every big theatre in town. Her characterizations throughout are truly memorable. A standout is definitely her Wolf (typecasting) in “The Wolf and the Jackdaw/Crane.”"

"...Director Ray Ficca demonstrates a confident, assured hand throughout. Working within the intimate confines of Adventure Theatre’s space, Ficca finds creative solutions at every turn — using levels, sightlines, and physical comedy to keep the energy kinetic. It occasionally veers into a more cacophonic energy, with moments where the full cast’s enthusiastic, high-volume delivery becomes a bit overwhelming (at least to the grown-ups in the audience)."
