Whose Wives Are They Anyway? at Bowie Playhouse

Farces are traditionally French fare -- but playwright Michael Parker has taken the continental comedy and 'Mercanized it. And that means, in true red-white-and-blue fashion (our red, white and blue, that is, and not the French tricolor), Parker has supersized everything: more door slamming, more cross-dressing and more high jinks. Most important, Whose Wives Are They Anyway? offers way more laughs. When two business buddies go off on a golf weekend sans their wives, things get sticky quick when they unexpectedly meet their new boss. Things get stickier still when she blithely mentions that "no one who went golfing for a weekend without his wife would ever work for me." So the guys must produce partners pronto, and (naturally) their solutions are harebrained ... and totally hilarious. Now Bowie Community Theatre presents Whose Wives Are They Anyway? at Bowie Playhouse.
