Unexplored Interior : Mosaic Theater Company of DC at Atlas Performing Arts Center

Subtitled This Is Rwanda: The Beginning and the End of the Earth, this world-premiere epic follows a young NYU film student who's compelled to travel back to his home in Africa to explore the violent death of his grandfather, a Tutsi master storyteller. While trying to restore his family legacy, he also interacts with a U.N. peacekeeper disabled by guilt and a Hutu minister who falls in love with a Tutsi woman. Unexplored Interior launches the latest addition to the D.C. theater scene, the new Mosaic Theater company, and was written by Jay O. Sanders, a recognizable actor from such shows as True Detective and Person of Interest. The top-flight cast features Helen Hayes Award winner Erika Rose (In Darfur) and Michael Anthony Williams (Intelligent Homosexual's Guide...).
