Through sharp satirical sketches, including a musical number or two, Second City celebrates, spoofs and skewers the Founding Fathers, the Industrial Revolution, and other great movements and individuals that have shaped our topsy-turvy nation.

"...The skits and improvisations of this two-hour show are largely fast and snappy, even if the outlines are fairly familiar. Hillary Clinton is a chameleon. Lobbyists are rapacious opportunists. The country is largely made up of twangy, right-wing conservatives and NPR totebag-toting progressives. Yet, as written by committee and directed with straightforward high energy by Billy Bungeroth, "Almost Accurate" puts teeth into the caricatures surprisingly often."

"...Second City pokes holes in the ideas and sentiments that the Right holds dear-like that America was somehow better in bygone days when gay people stayed in closets, women stayed in kitchens, and minorities stayed in servitude-as smoothly as cutting butter. I mean, it's hard not to knock around a toupee-wearing-pumpkin-colored-wife-cheating-Mexican-hating man who in a parallel universe likely leads the Oompa-Loompas. Trump is perfect meat for braising in Almost Accurate, which is surprisingly accurate."

"...They carve a place for improv in both of the show's acts to show off how quick they are on their feet and possibly to fill in time int he script. It didn't go far when they asked for suggestions in act one. Far more devastating was the results of a game show "What's Your Privilege?" in which the entire audience is asked to stand, and then set according to different criterion (gender, color, age, orientation) until there was just one Guy Standing - a prosperous white commercial real estate salesman who was brought on stage for more interrogation, so as to feed what would be an imagined day in the life for this lucky fellow."
