In David Lindsay-Abaire's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Becca and Howie Corbett are a married couple each coping with the loss of their child in very different ways. As they drift perilously apart despite their shared grief, their lives are further complicated by Becca's mother and sister, as well as the teenage boy responsible for their son's death. Told with all the humor, conflict and emotion of real life, Rabbit Hole depicts five characters growing and changing through realistic, vivid and hopeful interactions, finding comfort in the darkest of places and looking for a path that will lead them back into the light of day. The play won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and Cynthia Nixon won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play for her portrayal of Becca in the Broadway production. It was nominated for several other Tony Awards, including Best Play.
