The Puppet Co. often does fairytales such as “Cinderella,” “Snow White and the 7 Dwarves,” and “Rapunzel,” but it does not base the productions of these well-known stories on Disney’s versions. The company believes that there is more than one way to tell every story, offering a great lesson in comparing and contrasting. In the Puppet Co.’s “Rapunzel,” children learn what exactly rapunzel is (hint: an edible root vegetable often used in salads); they learn about poetry and rhyming; and they learn a lesson in being open-minded to new ideas.
