If I Hold My Tongue at Compass Rose Theater

Last year Compass Rose Theater had the honor of being selected with other professional theaters in the D.C. area to participate in the Women's Voices Play Festival. With an Honorary Committee including women playwrights iBeth Henley and Paula Vogel, director Julie Taymor, actors Kathleen Turner, Alison Janney and many other actors and directors, this is a festival of national prominence which focuses on plays by and about women. Compass Rose Theater selected this edgy s and dark new play about women who live in the shadows, trying to find a way out of a life of drugs and prostitution. It is the fragile but earnest bonds which these women form with each other that is the focus of the play
