"...In one of the show's most crowd-pleasing bits, the Blue Men seem to learn about human courting habits (if you see them as aliens attempting to study human behavior) through the eyes of two willing audience members pulled at random. The Blue Men hand them phones, have them give each other chocolates and flowers, and end the sketch by leading the two down the aisle, one in a veil, while one of the expressionless Blue Men throws confetti everywhere. It was a showstopper. You had to be there. Two audience members getting spontaneously married by three blue guys chucking confetti in their faces? Now that's a good story. Hard to describe, easy to love indeed."

"...But while it's fun to watch-the only word for some of the visual stunts is "cool"-Blue Man Group feels soulless. It's a corporate commodity of a show, with scads of style but almost no emotion. The best silent clowning invokes feeling, with the audience coming to empathize with the hapless fool set before it. There's none of that here. The Blue Men do make occasional stabs at character, but it is always rapidly subsumed by a shift to the next "cool" thing."

"...I am pretty sure that everyone has heard of Blue Man Group. You know that they paint themselves blue, play percussive instruments, have a fondness for primary colors and making a mess, all the while never saying a word. None of this is a plot spoiler. You walk into a theatre with moody lighting and a huge Syfy tech set with lots of LED lights and tv screens apparently showing random things - heck I even noticed a game of Pong. When the show starts, there are two musicians riffing and then the 3 Blue Men enter and stare at the audience as if they have just entered a new room of reptiles at the Zoo. And just like kids at the Zoo, they try to interact with the captive audience see what garners responses and why."

"...Along with some new music, there is no shortage of creative skits, and everyone is in for a good time. Kids love the zaniness and adults relish the aesthetic. Audience participation is a huge part of The Blue Man Group and this new show's format keeps the immersive experience that both new fans will love and dedicated fans expect. There are still marshmallows, PVC pipes, and lots of paint. The Blue Man Group does not say a word during the show, but as always, they make connections with their audience through humor and art. With this show, it is difficult to pinpoint specific audience favorites because there are so many moments of laughter and just pure joy. Let's just say that they involve rocking rubber chickens, an audience mixtape, and a spontaneous wedding."
