Barbara Cook's Spotlight: Terri White

Barbara Cook's Spotlight: Terri White

The Kennedy Center
2700 F Street, NW Washington

Rosalind, the daughter of an unjustly exiled duke, falls in love with the wronged Orlando, a courtier deprived of his birthright by his brother – but her usurping uncle, jealous of her popularity, banishes her from court. Disguised as a boy and accompanied by her cousin Celia, she seeks out her father and his friends in the Forest of Arden. There she meets Orlando again and, under the guise of a young man, counsels him in the art of love. Following her show-stopping appearance in the Kennedy Center's Follies and acclaimed Spotlight concert in 2013, Terri White returns to deliver another "vocally sure and beautifully tough" (The Washington Post) performance. Barbara Cook’s Spotlight series presents cabaret style performances with preeminent Broadway talent to the Kennedy Center’s intimate Terrace Theater. Since its inception in 2007, more than 40 artists have performed as part of this series. This season features Terri White on October 16, 2015; Randy Graff on October 30, 2015; Michele Lee on November 6, 2015; John Lloyd Young on November 20, 2015; and Frances Ruffelle on March 25, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Terrace Theater.
