"...Tina Turner’s eras-spanning catalog of pop, rock, and R&B hits forms the backbone of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, which just shimmied into the National Theatre, three stops into a 30-city national tour."

"...The national tour of TINA - The Tina Turner Musical arrived at The National Theatre on October 4th, and you have until October 23rd to see this electrifying musical about one of the most iconic performers in the history of Rock and Roll."

"...Throughout the production, the lines between theatrical and concert performance are blurred. Members of the orchestra come out from behind a screen to play along for the numbers that portray Tina’s live performances, disco lights glitter across the audience, and the crowd is clapping along and bouncing in their seats throughout. The final number, “The Best,” blows that boundary apart as Tina ascends a towering staircase, the screen rises to reveal the full band, and the audience is invited to get on their feet and sing along. After the curtain call, there’s even an encore of two more songs—the mark of a performance from a true diva."

"...Sensory overload. Spectacular. Breathtaking. Those were my impressions of TINA – The Tina Turner Musical. With a book by Katori Hall, Frank Ketelaar, and Kees Prins, the show revolves around thunder-voiced Tina Turner, aka Anna Mae Bullock, and terrible-tempered music legend Ike Turner. With Director Phyllida Lloyd at the helm, several moving parts came together to create a rousing crowd-pleaser."

"...There’s only one Tina Turner in this world, but you’d be forgiven for doubting that reality after seeing “TINA – The Tina Turner Musical’ now playing at the National Theatre. The actor who plays the role of Tina (Naomi Rogers) has mastered Turner’s signature dance moves beautifully and her unique vocal quality in a score that includes the legend’s most popular songs."

"...We love a good night at the theatre, especially when time flies. With a running time of over 2.5 hours with intermission this musical, Tina, still just flew by and had the audience on their feet, at the end. To be honest, the audience would have been just as happy if the lead, Naomi Rodgers playing Tina Turner, had simply recreated a Tina Turner concert. The book for this musical by Katori Hall isn’t bad, it’s just inconsequential. The show originally opened on Broadway on November 7, 2019 and was nominated for 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical."
