Founded in 1971, Theatre Project is one of Baltimore's longest-running homes for contemporary and experimental performance. The intimate venue presents original work in theatre, music, dance, and visual art from emerging and established artists, with a roster that spans local companies and performers of national and international reputation. Beyond its mainstage programming, Theatre Project hosts workshops, master classes, artist talks, and gallery exhibits throughout the season. The theatre is located at 45 West Preston Street in Baltimore's Mount Vernon cultural district, at the corner of Preston and Cathedral Streets across from the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
