Paris. 1793. Playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle, experience the French Revolution's Reign of Terror. The women move ever closer to their own undeniable fates, while still trying to change their world, as they extol (and sometimes castigate) violence and legacy, art and activism, feminism and terrorism, compatriots and chosen sisters.
