The Lover and The Collection presented by Shakespeare Theatre Company at Michael R. Klein Theatre

You can travel far and wide, but you'd be hard pressed to find anybody who'll tell you that marriage is easy -- and if you do, that person is probably lying. Coincidentally, lies are reoccurring themes in Nobel Prize-winning writer Harold Pinter's one-act plays The Lover and The Collection, coming to the Lansburgh Theatre in Washington, D.C. The Lover alternates between comedy and drama as a couple try to spice up their relationship by faking an affair, while in The Collection a pair of married couples add too much spice to their relationship while bitterly interrogating one another about a very real affair that may or may not have happened.
