The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow Reviews
The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow
MD Theatre Guide- Highly Recommended
"...“The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow” is well known to many with its headless horseman carrying a pumpkin in place of a head. This version by John Minigan is framed using the postscript of the short story where Washington Irving describes hearing the tale in a tavern through another, allowing Irving himself to tell the story in this phenomenal one man show. The Washington Stage Guild’s production is directed by Steven Carpenter who does a fantastic job of emphasizing the nature of the storytelling itself in this production."

"...Blown into a rundown (and potentially haunted) tavern on a blustery night, author Washington Irving casts off his cloak and rolls up his sleeves to tell a cautionary tale - of fear and superstition, reality and imagination. Of how an overconfident school teacher named Ichabod Crane, with dreams of a farmer's lovely daughter and a delectable dinner, finds himself galloping alongside a Headless Horseman as the bell chimes midnight, before disappearing into the mist."
