"Something Crazy" draws inspiration from true events during the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown in New York. The story centers on a struggling music restaurant on Broadway facing bankruptcy due to the lockdown. Four New Yorkers-a fierce immigrant mother and restaurant owner, a dedicated chef, a misunderstood daughter, and a weary cop-are thrusted into absurd, moving, and unexpectedly redemptive situations. Through fast-paced dialogue, intimate moments, and flashes of dark comedy, the play reflects on the human capacity for survival, love, and connection in times of crisis.
