"...Rorschach Theatre bravely ventures into the unknown with the world premiere of So Late Into the Night, a contemporary rock musical by Shawn Northrip that reimagines the events of this evening on Lake Geneva that birthed Shelley's world-famous novel Frankenstein. Northrip's take on this legendary dinner party does not stop at ghost stories, however. The playwright conjures a full-blown seance where Lord Byron ill-advisedly summons a demonic ghoul to foretell how each person sitting at the table will die - and in what order."

"..."SO LATE INTO THE NIGHT" introduces us to new ways of thinking about the authors behind some of our favorite spooky tales; however, this story may need a few more rounds around the dinner table before the next seance."

"...Rorschach can be counted on for complex, often dark, productions marked by vivid, imaginative visuals. And this work, directed by Jenny McConnell Frederick, is no exception. From the time one walks in the temporary location - an empty, unfinished retail space in a massive modern apartment complex called the Stacks, way off the beaten path south of Audi Field at Buzzaard Point, near the confluence of the Anacostia and Potomac rivers - one is confronted by mood-setting candlelight and spooky video projections (by Kylos Brannon)."
