"...Essentially, it's Vi's play, and Schraf ensures we're engaged, at least, and considering the woman's humanity fully, regardless of how one might respond to, or question, her fanatical devotion to cleaning up the environment. To reach the end, however, these three characters have to get somewhere together, and, with only one driving everything, and doing almost all the hauling, there's only just enough power on hand to make it over the line."

"...Steph Del Rosso’s new play “Precarious,” presented by Mosaic Theater, offers several heavy messages. Timely and cutting, the play examines the psychological toll of living in a world impacted by climate change. It explores the lonelier side of aging and looks at the disconnect that time, distance, and opposing life views can bring about when it comes to family relationships. Del Rosso packs a lot into this play. At points, it is truly hard-hitting and, at the same time, emotionally complex in a beautifully poetic way. At other moments, however, one starts to lose the thread of what this play, at its heart, is meant to be about."

Yet with all this depth, Schraf’s comedic moments stand out as memorable highlights of the show."
