Rather, the play’s energy and subversion is driven by Wegrzyn’s acidic and deeply-felt portrait of contemporary American culture: the ambitious politics of its workplaces and the complexities and trials of single motherhood and family.

"... The Pinky Swear actors have high spirits, and Karen Lange displays a particularly funny streak as a kind of sexy Suzy Homemaker who flirts with her marks and kills by injection. Allyson Harkey makes a nice impression as a natural born killer; she struts around in long black “Matrix” gear and seems to enjoy biting off tough patter and whipping weaponry from her thigh holster."

Producer/ stars Allyson Harkey and Karen Lange, in their newest production for Pinky Swear—Marisa Wegryzn’s Killing Women— present a play about the big women’s issues of our day. In particular, the work/ family struggle, and the pitfalls of women in a male-dominated profession. Only here, that profession happens to be professional killing.
