"...The consistently sensational base to all this is Morella and Elliott, who are utterly on the mark with the quick flare-ups and careful diplomacy of long-haul relationships. Morella has displayed an uncanny ease in other Margulies plays with Petosa, and here he channels that collected demeanor into a middle-aged man's uneasy truce with life. Elliott, playing the efficient, borderline-brusque Karen, beautifully balances intimidation and vulnerability. She's formidable, he's meek, and together these actors exquisitely illuminate Margulies's scenes from an enviably good, desperately fragile marriage."

"...My initial instinct is not so much to critique the performances, but commend the actors for doing justice to the play and bringing to life all of the playwright’s intentions. The most exciting thing about this play is that it immediately strikes up conversation. Intermission was the time for people to discuss what they saw and figure out whose side they’re on. During the show many heads were nodding as audience members were able to recognize themselves or other people through the characters’ dialogue."
