Casting Announced for Jersey Boys Return to National Theatre
Casting has been announced for the much-anticipated Washington, D.C., return engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, playing the National Theatre November 10, 2011, to January 7, 2012. The cast of JERSEY BOYS will be led by Preston Truman Boyd (Bob Gaudio), Joseph Leo Bwarie (returning to D.C. as Frankie Valli), John Gardiner (Tommy DeVito), and Michael Lomenda (Nick Massi) and as The Four Seasons, with Jonathan Hadley and Washington-area native, Joseph Siravo.
The ensemble of JERSEY BOYS includes Christopher DeAngelis, Lauren Dicierdo, John Michael Dias, Frankie J. Galasso, Buck Hujabre, Denise Payne, Mauricio Perez, Timothy Quinlan, Kyli Rae, Brian Silverman, Kara Tremel, Mark Verdino, Donald Webber, Jr., Kevin Worley, and Adam Zelasko.
JERSEY BOYS is the winner of the 2006 Best Musical Tony Award, the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and the 2010 Helpmann Award for Best Musical (Australia). The premiere engagement of JERSEY BOYS in Washington, D.C., was an overwhelming success, seen by more than 130,000 theatergoers, breaking the National Theatre's box office record previously held by Monty Python's Spamalot, and going on to break its own record three more times.
