Theatre 202, a nonprofit youth theatre company based in Washington, DC, will present Dreaming Without Limits: A Theatre 202 Cabaret on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6, 2026 at GALA Hispanic Theatre

Dreaming Without Limits is a powerful youth-led cabaret celebrating hope, resilience, identity, and social change through musical theatre. Featuring young artists ages 14-26, the original production blends songs from Broadway and beyond with personal storytelling and themes of justice, belonging, and imagining a better future.

Created through a collaborative, ensemble-based process, the cabaret highlights the voices and dreams of DC-area youth while showcasing the transformative power of theatre to build community, confidence, and change.

For the performers, the title carries deep personal meaning. One performer described dreaming without limits as "having hope enough to work and fight for a better and brighter life for all people," adding that "having the bravery to dream is strength." Another shared that it means being "free to pursue your passions without being held back" by money, fear, lack of support, or discrimination. A third performer described it simply: "Becoming the blueprint for what you want to see in this world."

The production continues Theatre 202's mission to create social justice theatre with, by, and for young changemakers in the nation's capital. Through professional-level training, paid performance opportunities, and a brave creative community, Theatre 202 helps young people grow as artists, leaders, and advocates.

Dreaming Without Limits will be performed Friday, June 5 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, June 6 at 7:30 pm at GALA Hispanic Theatre (3333 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20010).
