Candlelight: Tribute to Drake Coming to National City Christian Church in Washington, DC
The beloved Candlelight concert series is bringing one of the most celebrated artists of his generation to one of Washington, DC's most stunning venues. Candlelight: Tribute to Drake is set to take the stage at the historic National City Christian Church, offering audiences an intimate, multi-sensory musical experience unlike anything else in the city.
The show features the Listeso String Quartet performing a carefully curated program of Drake's most iconic songs, all bathed in the warm, flickering glow of candlelight. The evening spans some of Drake's most beloved tracks, including "God's Plan," "Hold On, We're Going Home," "One Dance," "In My Feelings," "Passionfruit," "Take Care," "Marvins Room," "Laugh Now Cry Later," and several more fan favorites. Together, these selections trace the arc of one of hip-hop and R&B's most storied careers, reimagined through the lush, organic texture of string instruments.
The setting itself is a draw in its own right. The National City Christian Church, located at 5 Thomas Circle NW, is a Washington landmark built in 1930 and known for its striking architecture and prominent place in the city's cultural landscape. Each performance runs approximately 60 minutes, with doors opening 45 minutes before showtime. Seating within each ticket zone is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is ADA compliant and open to guests ages 8 and older, with those under 16 required to be accompanied by an adult.
