America's Got Talent Semi-Finalists Bring Dino-Light to The Alden Theatre

Audience members can step into a world of glowing creatures and electrifying storytelling when Lightwire Theater's internationally acclaimed production of "Dino-Light" comes to The Alden Theatre stage at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. This one-of-a-kind, family-friendly performance blends puppetry, dance and cutting-edge electroluminescent technology to create an unforgettable theatrical adventure. Tickets are $25, $20 for seniors and $15 for residents of Small District 1-A Dranesville. The Alden is located inside the McLean Community Center at 1234 Ingleside Ave.

"Dino-Light" follows the story of a curious dinosaur brought to life by a brilliant scientist. When the friendly dino wanders off, it encounters a world of magical, glowing creatures that light up the darkness-sparking lessons about friendship, discovery and finding your way home.Director of Youth Theatre Programs at The Alden, Danielle Van Hook, is looking forward to bringing the company back to McLean. "The last time Lightwire was here, we could hear the audience cheering and laughing all the way out in the lobby," she said. "These artists are experts at taking what feels like a simple story and filling every moment with so much emotion, movement and fun! And they do it all without dialogue or (traditional) sets. "Dino-Light" truly is a perfect way for the whole family to spend a Friday night!"
Based in New Orleans, Lightwire Theater was a semi-finalist on "America's Got Talent" (Season 7), won Tru TV's "Fake Off" (Season 1) and has been honored by the Jim Henson Foundation for innovation in puppetry. It has also been praised around the world for its stunning visuals and imagination.
