Ford's Theatre is set to ring in the holiday season once again with its cherished production of A Christmas Carol, running from November 20 through December 31. The iconic theatre will welcome back acclaimed actor Craig Wallace to reprise his role as the transformation-bound miser Ebenezer Scrooge, continuing a tradition that has delighted Washington audiences for over four decades.

Wallace, whose impressive credits include Fences, Necessary Sacrifices, Death of a Salesman, The Guard, and Driving Miss Daisy, returns to guide audiences through Charles Dickens's timeless tale of redemption. His portrayal anchors this music-infused production that follows Scrooge's supernatural journey with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Originally conceived by Michael Baron, who also directs this year's production, the show features Michael Wilson's adaptation and has earned praise as a "rich visual and vocal treat" from TheaterMania and "infectiously jolly" from The Washington Post.

This season brings fresh talent to the Ford's stage with the addition of Erin Weaver, making her theatre debut as Fruit Vendor and Ghost of Christmas Present. An eight-time Helen Hayes Award winner, Weaver joins returning favorites Justine "Icy" Moral, who takes on the dual roles of the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Future, and Joe Mallon as the Clock Vendor. Moral's previous Ford's credits include Sister Act, Ragtime, and Into the Woods, while Mallon has appeared in Sister Act, Little Shop of Horrors, SHOUT SISTER SHOUT!, and One Destiny.

"A Christmas Carol has been a joyful tradition on our historic stage for over 40 years," said Paul R. Tetreault, director of Ford's Theatre. "This story reminds us that it's never too late to change, to connect, and to embrace the generosity and warmth that define the holiday season. Each year, it inspires audiences with its timeless message of hope and renewal."

The production captures the magic of Dickens's classic with familiar characters brought to life through Christmas caroling, spooky stage tricks, and cheerful holiday dancing. A spirited children's ensemble adds to the festive atmosphere, making this approximately two-hour show with one intermission a perfect outing for families and theatre lovers alike.

Tickets for A Christmas Carol are now available, ranging from $42 to $156. The show runs at Ford's Theatre, located at 511 10th Street NW in Washington, DC.
