Mean Girls Reviews
MD Theatre Guide- Highly Recommended
"...A common staple of Toby's productions, "Mean Girls" blows you away with the sheer amount of talent it offers. As the socially awkward and homely Cady, Rachel Cahoon is anything but when she opens her mouth to sing, with stunning and powerful, crystal-clear voice that fills the room. She was especially engaging to watch in the second act, when she transformed into the spunkier and more sharp-witted Cady, most notably in "I'm Blowing Up"—a song not in the original production but added for the 2024 West End remount."

"...And the cast … ‘wow’ just wouldn’t be enough, not even if I put it in all caps. The show starts with the introduction of Damian and Janis, played by Alan Gutierrez-Urista (in his Toby’s debut) and Tobi Baisburd (who was recently seen at Toby’s as a different Regina in Rock of Ages, and looking so different I didn’t even recognize her). They are sort of the ‘Greek Chorus’ of the show, often offering comments on the action through song, kicking things off with ‘A Cautionary Tale’. Damian is the more ebullient one of the two, while Janis carries a lot of anger within her toward Regina (which is explained in detail later), and both actors make their characters feel real."

"...If there were an award for sheer infectious energy, Toby’s Dinner Theatre’s production of Mean Girls would win it, hands down. Embodying Jeff Richmond’s predominantly up-tempo score, Toby’s ensemble executes David Singleton’s choreography with verve and precision in one delightful production number after another."
