"...An astrologer named Vincent is a central character in this play, and though he never appears, his influence is all over it. He has persuaded a ten-years-together married couple - Samira and Jason - that they are the "astrological doubles" of Diana Spencer and Dodi Fayed and that they should hole up for three days in a posh hotel in Paris on the 25th anniversary of Diana and Dodi's horrific death. The point, according to Vincent, is to experience a "convergence," as of celestial bodies."

"...The audience at Mosaic Theater's D.C. premiere production of Kareem Fahmy's Dodi & Diana first encounters the play's hotel room set obscured behind a diaphanous cloud of curtain. Then the house lights dim, the drapery is tugged aside, an instrumental cover of "A View to a Kill" swells over the speakers, and the show begins."

"...Among the true stars of this production are Shartoya R. Jn. Baptiste's set design and Sage Green's lighting. Together, scene and lights effect a sumptuousness coupled with unabashed playfulness that dynamically immerses audiences in the experience of inhabiting this room. Despite some of the imbalance inherent in the play itself, the cast, crew, and creative team do a terrific job of keeping the audience entertained. There is always something to look at, wonder about, and engage with as you follow the playful, fraught, and wild moments in the life of this married couple."

A brutally honest slow-motion descent as the superficial layers of comfort and habit and status quo are peeled back, exposing the ugly hidden truths that have built up over years and shared bank accounts and mortgages and seventy-five pound dogs."
