American stand-up comedian and actor David Chappelle is most renowned for his satirical comedy sketch series, Chappelle's Show. Following a break, he made a comeback, performing stand-up comedy throughout the United States. In 2006, Esquire dubbed him the "comic genius of America," and in 2013, a writer from Billboard declared him to be "the best." Chappelle was listed as No. 9 in the 2017 Rolling Stone ranking of the "50 Best Stand Up Comics of All Time."
