Cabaret Macabre haunted and delighted audiences last year around Halloween time, and it's back this year in an all-new edition. Stitched together by Happenstance Theater, Cabaret Macabre is a series of dark, comic vignettes, songs and physical comedy. Inspired by the timeless work of Edward Gorey, Victorian nightmares, dangerous croquet, melodramatic music and Gothic romance, it features live music and Happenstance Theater's penchant for witty, visual, theatrical collage. This is the fourth incarnation of what has become a local Halloween tradition.

"...The theme of the show is love, and elaborates on the ridiculous things people do to find and keep love. The show consisted of short scenes from several different playwrights strung together by a few songs about how powerful love can be."
