A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol

F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre
603 Edmonston Drive Rockville

Staging Charles Dickens' beloved A Christmas Carol is a tradition nearly as old as the book itself. In fact, a year after it was published in 1843, eight different theatrical productions were running in London. The impulse is obvious: it's a tale written for the stage. Hope Garden Children's Ballet Theatre has taken it a step further and re-imagined the holiday classic as a ballet, complete with the beautiful and sometimes haunting music of French composer Claude Debussy. Ebenezer Scrooge is a tightfisted miser, determined to hoard his money, when he's visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Can they convince him to see the error of his ways before it's too late? Watch this poignant -- and oftentimes spectacular -- new interpretation of the family favorite unfold at the F. Scot Fitzgerald Theater in Rockville. Few experiences can match it -- no "humbug" about it!
