A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas

"...For 14 years Morella himself helmed the one-person show; last year health problems forced him to step back from staging his creation. Into the breach stepped Michael Russotto, who returns this year. Morella, who program materials say is recuperating slowly but surely, can take comfort knowing his ‘baby’ is in safe hands with Russotto. He ably acts the dozens of characters, from a squeaking, off-key, yet still-adorable child caroler to the mute, menacing Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. His transitions between roles and from characters to narrator and back again, even in a quick-paced dialogue, are seamless yet unmistakable. His presence is a joy."

"...In that tradition, local actor Paul Morella first adapted A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas 16 years ago. Morella himself brought the characters to life for many years. Since last season, Michael Russotto, another notable actor from the DMV, has taken up the mantle of storyteller and the dozens of characters featured in the classic story of redemption and yuletide cheer."
