Young Frankenstein at Toby's Dinner Theatre - Columbia

Mel Brooks jolted his classic movie comedy Young Frankenstein back to life with a bunch of hilarious new songs, turning it into a monster Broadway hit. Now it's coming to Toby's Dinner Theatre in Columbia in a new production that tracks the tongue-in-cheek tale of young Dr. Frankenstein (or "Fronkensteen," as he prefers to be known) as he tries to complete his grandfather's work of re-animating the dead. He's helped out -- sorta -- by the hunchbacked, bulging-eyed Igor, his beautiful lab assistant, Inga, and the frightfully eccentric housekeeper Frau Blucher. The Brooks-penned score boasts such catchy tunes as "Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend" and "Puttin' on the Ritz." Tickets include a pre-show buffet.
