"...The comic icing is the stuff that a Shakespeare lover's dreams are made on. Burns's scripting of the broadcast segments is a gleeful and affectionate stroll through the canon. You only have to reflect on all the nature imagery in the plays to imagine the field day SNN's meteorologist has with a Shakespearean weather forecast. All I can say is, iamb happy to have been there for it."

"...Grant and Holmes are ideally matched as intelligent, self-aware people who both know exactly how to irritate the other, so their trip into first infatuation, then mature love is full of fizzy moments. They both demonstrate a talent for slapstick as Benedick slinks to the floor, hiding behind a sofa and a potted plant, to eavesdrop on his friends, and Beatrice finds a convenient, if not comfortable, place to hide in a parallel situation."

"...The minute you enter the Sidney Harman Theatre, and you behold Alexander Dodge's stunning set, decked with flat screens from stage floor to proscenium's peak, you know that Simon Goodwin's new production of Much Ado About Nothing fully intends to pull out all the stops. Visually joyful, with antics and sight-gags galore, this is just the break from election anxiety this town needs. We've been waiting a long time for this one (COVID delayed the premiere by a bit, as you can imagine), and boy was this wait worth it!"
