Ordinary Days

NextStop Theatre
269 Sunset Business Park Herndon

A simple yet heartfelt story about how we as humans search for and make connections in an increasingly chaotic world. While Claire and Jason struggle to confront a fracture in their relationship, Warren and Deb form a quirky friendship over an unshared love of the Met. Ordinary Days tells the story of four young New Yorkers, whose lives intersect in strange and unexpected ways as they search for love, beauty, and purpose in this big and unforgiving world. The musical asks, is it possible that the smallest acts can have the most profound effects on your life?

"...ORDINARY DAYS is low-stakes drama that is intermittently charming but neglects to challenge its audience in any meaningful way. But if you're looking for an easily-digestible theatre experience featuring a charming and watchable cast of characters, ORDINARY DAYS at NextStop Theatre is just the ticket."

"...The driving force of the show's musical success is keyboardist Elisa Rosman, long one of the premier musical directors in Northern Virginia theater. Playing flawlessly and energetically throughout the entire length of the show, with scarcely time for a deep breath, Rosman communicates beautifully with the cast, together creating a seamless musical fabric."

"...Adam Gwon's chamber musical Ordinary Days is ostensibly the story of four young adults searching for love and their "life stories" in New York City. Yet the real love story at the heart of the show is the mythical Manhattan of stage and film, a romantic and nurturing setting where characters find themselves and relationships, a world lovingly recreated in NextStop Theatre Company's charming production."
