The Eight: Reindeer Monologues is a series of monologues told by the famous eight reindeer after a scandal has shaken the North Pole. However, these are not you're childhood reindeer. From a sultry, sexy Vixen, to a flamboyant Cupid, to an angry feminist Blitzen, their stories are sarcastic and witty, with a bit of raciness that could land them on the naughty list!

The Eight: Reindeer Monologues was written by Jeff Goode and since it's premier in Chicago in 1994, it has been performed at regional theaters all over the country including the MET. Maryland Ensemble Theatre staged the play for the first time in 2002 and it was such a success it was remounted on the MET stage in 2003. Julie Herber, Associate Artistic Director, performed in both previous productions as Blitzen, and is returning to the show in the new role of Vixen.

For audience looking for family oriented fun this holiday season the MET's annual production of A Christmas Carol is returning to the Weinberg Center December 16th -18th but for a hilarious E! True Hollywood Story take on Christmas you don't want to miss The Eight: Reindeer Monologues.

Veteran actor Tim Seltzer makes his directing debut at MET with a first-rate cast featuring Ensemble Members Julie Herber (Vixen), Caitlyn Joy (Dancer), and Matt Lee (Hollywood). They are joined by Clay Comer (Comet), Larry Fellows (Dasher), Eric Jones (Donner), Justin Johnson (Cupid), and Courtney McLaughlin (Blitzen). The production design team includes Tad Janes (set designer), Doug Grove (lighting designer), Ashley Hall (costume designer), Lisa Burl (props designer), and Ken Poisson (Sound).
