The Last Class: A Jazzercize Play

The Klunch presents Dodo: A Theater Collective's production of The Last Class: A Jazzercize Play, written by Megan Hill, directed by Margot Bordelon, choreographed by Sarita Lou, lights by David C. Ghatan, and with stage management by Jason A. Milner and Laura Schlachtmeyer.

Jazzercize is out. Zumba is in. But instructor Kelsea Wiggan is not going down without a fight. Armed with pep, a petition, and her conflict-averse co-instructor, Kelsea is determined to keep Jazzercise alive at the Chikatawnee Valley Community Center.

A real Jazzercize class, happening in real time, featuring real class participants (a who's who of local talent, to be announced soon), The Last Class asks what happens when you invest your life in a dying franchise: When do you double down on a dream deferred? How big a failure is too big to just "sweat it out?"

The Klunch is waaay past thrilled (seriously, it's embarrassing!) to be presenting the original Dodo production, featuring the original direction and original cast, probably all still sweatin' from their acclaimed NYC premiere, which played to packed houses this past spring. (cont...)
