Maryland Ensemble Theatre's Fun Company presents Go, Dog, Go!
Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) family theatre, The Fun Company is kicking of its eighteenth season with Steven Dietz & Allison Gregory's wonderful adaptation of the childhood classic Go, Dog. Go!
Go, Dog. Go! is a hilariously fun take on P. D. Eastman's 1961 children's book. With music written by Michael Koemer, the musical takes you on a joyous and wild adventure of color and energy. "The show faithfully and creatively recreates P.D. Eastman's delightful book for the stage. Go, Dog. Go! is filled with music, movement, dance and humor that is certain to keep young audiences engaged and having a great time", said the show's director Julie Herber. Herber, the Fun Company's founding Artistic Director, continued, "So many children are familiar with the book that we know it's going to be a popular event! We're very excited to be opening our season with such a treat of a show."
The talented cast includes MET ensemble members Vanessa Strickland, Allison Lepelletier and Kevin Cole along with Emily Cucchi, Tori Weaver and Giovanni Kavota. Go, Dog. Go! will be ably assisted by a production team that includes lighting design by Doug Grove, costumes by Julie Herber, set design by Joann Lee, and musical direction by Thom Huenger.
All performances of Go, Dog. Go! are at Maryland Ensemble Theatre, located in the historic FSK Hotel at 31 W Patrick Street. The show runs every Saturday from September 14 to October 5 at 2 p.m., Friday October 4 at 7 p.m., and Sunday September 29 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 (plus a $1.50 service fee), and may be purchased by phone at (301) 694-4744, online at marylandensemble.org or in person at the MET box office.
