Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical Reviews
DC Theater Arts- Highly Recommended
"...While this was our family’s first foray to Adventure Theatre, it won’t be our last. This was a theater experience that marries the excellence I’ve come to expect from DC-area professional theaters with an experience completely built for kids. Though my three-year-old was not happy upon arrival, she sure was happy during the show. Both kids were enraptured with the story, production design, music, actors, and of course, bubbles. If you have a Mo Willems fan in your clan, don’t miss this. It’s an excellent first show for kids, and even if they melt down en route to the theater, trust me, they will definitely be glad they went."

"...Mo Willems’ Caldecott Honor-winning book, “Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale,” tells a timeless story of loss and grief relatable to parents and kids. The musical adaptation, with a book and lyrics by Willems and music by Michael Silversher, jumps off the page onto the stage with a heartwarming production at Adventure Theater MTC (ATMTC)."

"...I do not like writing negative reviews, but it’s my job to be honest and say this one does not get my recommendation. I do think this musical could improve with practice, however. The actors are obviously giving it their all. Currently, the musical as a whole is stepping down on the gas too hard and, overall, the chemistry between the actors is off and they aren’t on the same road just yet."
