Dinner Reviews
DC Theater Arts- Highly Recommended
"...Dinner is darkly hilarious, absurdist and at times psychologically frightening. The play, similar to Disgraced, is about a dinner party gone terribly wrong. Serving under the contemporary half of its “Witches and Wine” repertory, 4615 Theatre Company is playing British playwright Moira Buffini’s Dinner alongside Macbeth, which is directed by 4615’s Artistic Director Jordan Friend. Dinner, expertly directed by Stevie Zimmerman, delivers 90 intermission-free minutes of the blackest humor you’ve seen in ages."

"...That this superb production is coming from the hands of a company that is barely a year old is some of the best news that DC theater lovers have had in years. In fact, in the thirteen years I’ve reviewed plays for DC Theatre Scene, I can think of only two companies that have gotten this good this fast. One is 1st Stage and the other is Constellation. And you know what’s happened with them, don’t you?"

"...After all is said and done, Dinner makes a strong case for 4615 Theatre Company's existence. This intimate production in their intimate space gives a glimpse at the natural talent that can be found on their stages. Thanks to a particularly stellar cast, Moira Buffini's play reaches some incredible heights. Making room for Dinner is one of the best decisions you can make this August."
