War of the Worlds

Atlas Performing Arts Center
1333 H Street NE Washington

It's been over 70 years since Orson Welles terrified audiences on the night before Halloween with his radio drama adaptation of H.G. Wells' classic The War of the Worlds. Since then, this trailblazing tale of alien invasion has become a perennial favorite. Now Scena Theatre's imaginative stage version of War of the Worlds returns to D.C. to Atlas Performing Arts Center with an all-new cast -- before it flies off to the renowned Prague Fringe Festival in the Czech Republic. Try not to panic at director Robert McNamara's exciting, rapid-fire take on this historic American classic.
