Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind

Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind

Woolly Mammoth Theatre
641 D St NW Washington

Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind is an ever-changing extravaganza of 30 plays in one hour. The Chicago-based Neo-Futurists return to Woolly for their fifth time with one of their biggest successes, inspired by Dada, surrealism and the spontaneity of late-night sketch comedy. Created by Greg Allen, the show's "menu" of plays is strung up on a clothesline, and you and your fellow audience mates determine the order by yelling out which piece you want to see next. Every performance is a unique experience, and the Neo-Futurists are masters of blending funny with poignant, everyman with abstract, political with personal. Leave the kids at home for this one, because any given night could bring foul language, partial nudity, smells from questionable sources, and/or a variety of startling sensations.
