Nominated for five Tony Awards -- and the winner of one -- Wendy Wasserstein's hit comedy The Sisters Rosensweig is the tale of three Jewish-American women who gather to celebrate their sister Sara's 54th birthday. Sara, a successful banker with several divorces in her past, now lives in London with her teenage daughter. Middle sister Gorgeous, a loving wife and mother, has her own call-in radio advice show and hopes to make the leap to TV. Pfeni, the youngest, has spent her life journeying around the world writing travel books. Over the course of several days at Sara's stylish townhouse, each sister is forced to face her life and her choices. Offering sharp truths on what divides relatives and what draws them together, the play explores how women define themselves through their romances, their careers and their family. See it at Theater J at the Washington DCJCC.
