Adam and Eve make their way out of the Garden of Eden and into an American college campus in the '90s. The Shape of Things comes to life on Frederick's Maryland Ensemble Theatre with a modern retelling of the biblical story of Adam's seduction by Eve. When Adam meets Evelyn, his world is literally changed forever. As the two engage in an intense love affair, Adam goes to extraordinary and unimaginable lengths to change his appearance and character. However, Evelyn harbors an ulterior motive concerning Adam's drive to shape himself into the image of perfection. The Shape of Things explores the complexities of manipulation, love and art within human relationships in this edgy comedy-drama.
