The Little Dog Laughed
3700 South Four Mile Run Drive Arlington
A satirical look at the scandalous world of young celebrityhood, acclaimed playwright Douglas Carter Beane's comedy playfully exposes the challenges of being gay in Hollywood, as a rising movie star gets pulled in all directions by his spin-doctor agent, the sexy "rent-boy" who's caught his eye and the rent-boy's naïve and needy girlfriend -- not to mention the photographers who track their every move. In its off-Broadway run, this risqué romp was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award and after moving to Broadway, it earned a Tony nomination for Best Play.
