Quotidian Theatre Company presents Anton Chekhov's short story The Lady With the Little Dog, adapted for the stage and directed by Stephanie Mumford. Two strangers meet in 1901 Yalta. One is seeking an escape from his boring Moscow routine; the other is searching for a more meaningful life beyond Saratov. They both discover what they've been searching for in each other, but can they hold onto it? This classic story was Chekhov's quotidian take on Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, and receives an imaginative staging at Writer's Center, with live classical Russian music and video projections of Armenian painter Aivazovsky's seascapes.
