Sherlock Holmes

Warner Theatre
513 13th Street NW Washington

"I'm odd, but thankfully so is he," replied David Arquette when asked about adding his name to the long list of distinguished actors who've played the world's greatest detective. In this exciting new stage adaptation, the game is afoot when Sherlock Holmes is enlisted by the newly formed Scotland Yard to investigate the sudden appearance of a drowned body and the disappearance of a member of the House of Lords. It's elementary that Holmes' nemesis Professor James Moriarty may be involved, as the adventure tale unfolds through the backstreets of turn-of-the-century London. This Sherlock Holmes at D.C.'s Warner Theatre was the winner of five prestigious Montreal Theatre Awards, including Outstanding Production and Outstanding Director. Andrew Shaver (Stratford Festival) will remount the show for the North American tour which also features designs by Cirque du Soleil's James Lavoie.
