The funniest show on earth is back to taunt Washington D.C. Winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical, Monty Python's Spamalot, the musical comedy sensation lovingly ripped off from the film classic Monty Python and The Holy Grail, now returns to spread laughter and cheer throughout the kingdom. Spamalot tells the tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they embark on their quest for the Holy Grail. But before they can find their grail, they're taking a little side-trip to the fair city of Washington D.C.

For musical theater fans, there is much to cheer as well. The principals gamely break the fourth wall and throw themselves into hilarious parodies of well worn Broadway standards. Meanwhile, the high kicking ensemble brings a crackling energy to glitzy group numbers. A few shallow love connections satisfy the basic romantic requirements of a Broadway musical, but the emotion is never more than skin deep. While this might sink a lesser production, it fits the bill in Spamalot, where absurdist comedy is the law of the land.

"... This tour brings us an incredibly strong cast led by Arthur Rowan as King Arthur. Mr. Rowan and Michael J. Berry as Patsy have great chemistry and both deliver very enjoyable performances. The entire cast, from featured actor to ensemble member, keep the mood light and handle the comedy well. However, Brittany Woodrow as the Lady of the Lake is a real standout. She is beautiful, funny and has a killer voice."
