LiveArt in a Day presented by LiveArtDC LLC at Anacostia Playhouse

Whether it's a great jazz solo or inspired improv comedy, there's a certain magic that comes with spontaneity in art. At LiveArt in a Day, you can see that vibrant creativity applied to theater, as five playwrights, five directors and 25 actors come together to create and mount a play in 24 hours. Each randomly assigned team is given a prop, a D.C. landmark and a local celebrity with which to bring an original D.C. story to life in a 10-minute play. There will also be three bands performing at the Anacostia Arts Center: Bells & Hunters, Hollertown and A Rustic Riot, in addition to an auction.
